Some things I thought I’d never know,
Some things I thought I knew,
Some things I learned were clear as day —
Until I stopped and saw the clue.

The days I saw were always bright,
The days I saw were dull,
The days I knew were bare routine —
Until I flat out quit it all.

The nights I dreamt were filled with light,
The nights I dreamt were dark,
The nights I shivered in fear of Life —
Until I felt that misplaced spark.

Mistakes I’ve made, some hold regret,
Mistakes have taught me much,
Mistakes have led me down this path —
But while I’m near I can’t quite touch.

Some things remain in mystery,
The days are soft and warm,
The nights reveal my brightest star —
Along the way mistakes reform.
