Almost everyone has experienced a nightmare or night terror in their lifetime and many people experience chronic or recurring nightmares. While nightmares can have an emotional and psychological affect on your sleep habits and can impact your waking life, it doesn’t have to be this way.

You can use the information in your nightmares to support you and your healing journey.

Nightmares can be great indicators for your current psychological or emotional state. They can show you that a need is not being met, a situation may not be supportive for you, and what may or may not be working for you. When you shift your perspective to see fear-based dreams as messages about yourself, you can begin to use the information from them to make positive changes in your waking life.

Fear is always an opportunity to love. In this article we’ll dive into the purpose and messaging of nightmares, how to recover from them upon waking, deciphering their meaning, and how to utilize this information to identify positive pathways forward.
