The Earth Is Drawing Into Herself

The Difficult Cocoon of Winter Will Lead to a Spring Metamorphosis

I’ve been getting the same messaging for a while now: this winter will be difficult.

It’s been coming through in conversations with friends and family, the way that they perceive the world around them. I’ve read phrases in articles that are strangely worded, particular word combinations seem to jump out at me, and suggestions for reads that I normally wouldn’t have considered have felt like they’re calling my name.

But I experienced the biggest indication of coming change yesterday when I tried to engage my daily meditative practice… but couldn’t. It’s not that I couldn’t meditate, it’s that I couldn’t connect to the Earth.

A Connection Disrupted

For almost a year now I’ve been doing the same meditation. It’s a combination of chakra activation and personal soul connection.

I begin by activating my root chakra. Sitting within it’s swirling mist, the deep blood-red color of it’s energy, I send it down into the Earth, piercing through the layers of rock and soil until it magnetically connects to our Mother’s Core. I then walk up my chakra points activating them one-by-one until I reach the crown.
